TIME TO LOVE AMY ROSE part 3:
(another repost of a 2022 post because i miss Amy in the trailer...)
Amy Rose movie Theory time
Ok let's start the theory with why would Amy end up in earth in the first place and how? Well in this theory of mine it will be for similar reasons as Tails and knuckles, few points to remember:
1. The chaos emeralds were conveniently spread out in space by Sonic himself and he and shadow conveniently will need it.
2. Lately the most recent version of Amy in both modern and Classic (that is the perfect version), Amy is someone ready to be a hero and take action and I inspired this theory thanks to this panel over here👇👇👇
You will my girl, you will absolutely prove your are a worthy warrior ( words probably said by Knuckles)
3. Unlike Tails who used his gadgets to know about sonic and about knuckles and how trace him to find him and unlike knuckles who always knew about him and hired people to find him... How would Amy know about sonic in the first place and how will she know how to find him? Are we forgetting something canon that Amy is skilled at besides swinging a hammer?👇👇👇
The fortune cards should be used in the movie your honor, literally Amy knows how to use magic with them cause she always nails it!
Know let's mix all the ingredients, i chose to write this as a prologue back story through Amy's pov:
Hi, nice to meet you my name is Amy Rose😊 and I'm on an important mission to help save a different planet! Isn't it exciting?🤩 Oh yeah you're probably wondering how I ended carrying this mission and how i know where I'm going jeje 🤭cof cof well it's all thanks to this girls over here:- Amy's hands starts shining surrounded by some kind of pink electric light and a deck of cards shows up out of nowhere- impressed? 😏Jiji this are fortune cards and I have mastered the ability to read them and they always tell me things i need to know, oh and these aren't the only thing I can summon, take a look at this: -Amy extended her arm straight with her palm open and again her hand is surrounded by pink electric light, this time the light grows bigger forming a shape and in a blink she is holding a giant hammer- cool isn't it? Your head won't get away uncracked if you fight me fellas😤 😏 I can crack mountains
oh you also wonder where did I get all this stuff? Ok I'll tell you, bring the flashback:
Some years ago i was a little girl who ended up all on her own, i used to help in a food place but I wanted to do more than that and I craved to prove my independence and strength! Cause I was seen as a weak lonely nobody little girl so... I started to do boxing 🥊🥊 and trained to be more athletic but it wasn't enough, i love boxing but I don't actually like to fight using my fists... and one day finishing my training next to a nice valley i found something... There were some kind of ruins hidden and I felt something calling me under some rocks and there were them... I found a bag with a full thick deck of cards surrounded with a shiny aura and I was so hypnotized with them, i remembered some tales and legends about some mysterious powers that came from the energy of chaos and I wondered if there were items with chaos powers too... As I was checking one by one the cards i stopped when I saw one with a big beautiful hammer image on it and I realized that what I was lacking for was a personal weapon and then... How do I describe this... Well the card started to shine and there was some pink electricity and there was an explotion boom 💥🤯 and them poof the hammer of the picture fell on my hands!!! 😶 And I felt connected to it like with the cards and few years of training latter here I am! See? I was a bit more Little back them i guess it grew up with me or maybe Is because I'm stronger 💪💪 Anyway I'm on this mission because... It happened again! I found a chaos item! A lot more powerful than my cards! It was an chaos emerald! I learnt about them thank to the cards knowledge because like I said they always tell me what I need to know and in fact when I tripped with the emerald while training the cards reacted to it and gave me my mission:
"A foreign whole planet is in grave danger, a future legendary hedgehog hero needs the emerald to save that world so you must give it to him"
And that's what I'm doing! Traveling between worlds until I find that hedgehog hero! And I hope he lets me help save that world! I'm so exited to finally have a chance to prove myself!!!😖😤
Next post will be my theory about with who will be living Amy Rose at the end of the movie
He is a hedgehog like me... I wonder how he looks... He must be handsome! 🤔😍I hope I can recognize who he is... I don't want to give the emerald to the wrong person and make a fool of myself... Enough Amy! Be more confident 😣😣 ok ok I'm fine, let's do this! 💪😤 Is going to be fine! Uff I can already feel the upcoming danger... How curious... I feel like someone is following me? (🦇) I have to protect the emerald! Let's go! I'll see you later! Hope you liked my story! 😘😘

I feel like one of the things that gets missed a lot about Sonic and Amy's dynamic is that he isn't running because he's scared of Amy or hates her: Sonic runs because he loves running, and Amy chases because she loves Sonic and all he represents. She also clearly doesn't spend all her time chasing him: in Adventure 1 she's just lounging around in a city missing him and then he runs into her, in Heroes she's spending time with other friends of hers, etc.
Yes, she is more active in pursuing him than even other characters like Tails can be, and he can occasionally be overwhelmed by her pushy personality, but that doesn't equate to stalking or harassment. Sonic enjoys having her around- they're friends. To a certain extent, Sonic also clearly enjoys being chased by Amy.
Almost every moment that gets tossed around as her being abusive or terrible is some looney toons ass gag. Y'all can't seriously think she intended to kidnap and physically drag Sonic into a church to marry her just based off one awkward line in Heroes, can you? Regardless of whether you ship them or want them to be canon or not or find the jokes cringe or #problematic, their intended dynamic is not and has never been that of stalker and victim.
Also, another misconception about her is that people think her life revolves just around Sonic. Now, she was certainly created with him in mind (the creators wanted her to be a Minnie Mouse to Sonic's Mickey Mouse) but that's true of almost every character in the classic era. I'm not going to pretend CD presented a great dynamic between them, but starting as early as Adventure Amy had stories about standing up to Sonic, befriending other characters, actively redeeming multiple other characters/being one of the ones to help them, etc.
She's got multiple hobbies and friends outside of Sonic, she will stand up to him when she thinks he's doing something wrong: she has a life outside of Sonic.
Just because she wants her life to include him as well doesn't make her a one-note, lovesick fangirl stalker like she was so commonly seen as for so long!
Anyway. I just really love Amy Rose and also her dynamic with Sonic. It's been portrayed imperfectly at times, and there are definitely some moments where she was characterized horribly, but a) that's true of basically every major Sonic character and b) that doesn't wipe out all the good characterization and moments she's had over the years. She's always been a good character, and she's been growing and evolving over the years, just like a good character should. Her problem is mostly that she's been underutilized in games, and the solution to this is simply just to show more than one facet of her personality, not bashing that part of her or trying to take it away.
#i should be on twitter more often i would write so many threads about this girl#sonic#amy rose#sonic the hedgehog#analysis#character analysis#we can have arguments about whether shes characterized this way bc shes the main girl (she probably is) and love interest#but that doesnt change the fact that amy rose in isolation is pretty great#not intended to be ship but yall can tag it like that if you want#screenshots grabbed from like seven different people none of whom are on tumblr so im not tagging them#prin posts#sonic posting#fuck now i gotta tag all the other characters#e-102 gamma#cream the rabbit#cheese the chao#emerl the gizoid#metal sonic#big the cat#shadow the hedgehog#analysis posting#long post

I'm a huge fan of Ian, but one criticism of him that I've seen that I kind of agree with is that he sometimes falls into "look how much I know about Sonic" in his writing. For example, a number of references in Frontiers like Tails namedropping Dark Gaia out of nowhere. It's a nice change of pace from Sega not knowing where they wanted to go with Sonic for like a decade, but it might be too far in the opposite direction. What do you think?
There's definitely a thin line between Ian's love of references and lore and lyric quotes being fun and grating, yeah. I think he tends to do it well, choosing things that will support and enhance the story he's trying to tell rather than just dropping random references for the sake of it, but sometimes it can kinda make me roll my eyes and go "okay, Ian, settle down buddy." He readily admits that sometimes he just really wants to play with all the toys in the toy box.
I think an example I might point do would be some of the Classic Sonic comics for IDW. The Tails special in particular felt like it relied very heavily on Ian being excited to use the Witchcarters again, and to use Flicky Island as a setting, but I felt like the story left me wanting a little more beyond just "this obscure old stuff is back again." (The art in all the Classic stuff is phenomenal, though, of course.)
Frontiers absolutely is jam packed full of references, but I think it works there because acknowledging and building off of decades of continuity is one of the main points of the story in Frontiers. It's part of a greater effort Sega has been making to acknowledge Sonic's legacy after much of the late '00s and early 2010s were spent being kind of ashamed of that stuff and trying to streamline the series. Frontiers, meanwhile, wanted to look back on all those past adventures and their inconsistent writing and figure out how to wring some proper character arcs out of them, so that the cast can reflect on those arcs and figure out what they want to do next. Mining hit-or-miss old material for a compelling throughline like that has always been something Ian's excelled at - it's literally what he did to the Archie comics when he started out - and having the characters acknowledge their past adventures is a part of that. It gives us a sense that Sonic and co. really have gone through a lot together, and that those experiences have shaped who they are today.
It's also worth remembering that a ton of more casual Sonic fans aren't as immersed in the state of the canon or Ian's referential writing style as we are. When Frontiers came out you'd see people say stuff like "OMG, Sonic mentioned Jet the Hawk!! I didn't know Sonic Riders was canon to the main series! I loved those games!" That kind of reaction is probably a big part of why those references are there. Sega wants fans to know that Sonic DOES have continuity, unlike a series like Mario where every game and sub-series is kind of its own thing, and that all the old stuff still matters. And if that's what you wanna do, then Ian's the guy for the job.

Sonic Underground Headcanons!
WHOO! Hyperfixation time again, bois!
This's a LOOOOOng one, so it's all under the cut. :)
•In some scenes Queen Aleena had been shown wearing a yellow cloak or cape with a yellow heart-shaped thing at the collar (I'd assumed it was a clasp of some sort); I headcanon that heart-shaped clasp is also a locket. On one side is a picture of herself, her husband, and Uncle Chuck while on the other side is a baby photo of the triplets.
•The reason the triplets didn't find Tails on their journey to reunite with Aleena is because she found him first. While Tails and Aleena travel around together he talks about machinery and tech teaching her about how to work around and evade Robotnik's security, while she provides a much needed constant support to him.
•Lady Windameer, Feral, and Sonic's adoptive parents knew the kids they'd found(/been given in Feral's case) were the missing royal triplets. Maybe not at first, but they all realized it at some point and kept that fact a secret.
•Sonic's early life was more isolated than Sonia and Manic's combined. First raised in a cabin off the grid and far from anyone but his parents, then kept a secret from the rest of the world by the Resistance while living in a bunker beneath a scrap heap with Uncle Chuck. He was probably both excited to meet new people (especially his siblings), but also very suspicious of everyone he met incase they were Robotnik's spies.
•Aleena and Manic share a love of practical jokes; while Manic is open and unapologetic about his pranks Aleena hides the fact that she likes, or has ever played a single prank in her life from most people. Only the people who're close to her know this secret.
•Uncle Chuck gave Sonic his love of chili dogs. Since the ration packs Robotnik produced tasted like (and often were made of) sawdust Chuck stockpiled natural ingredients and cooked Sonic a meal the kid hadn't tasted in years, his foster parents' recipe for chili dogs.
•Sonic was the most comfortable of the triplets with crossdressing, not only for disguises but in general. This led to Sonia and Mindy using him as a living manikin for testing out new outfits.
•Manic "knows a guy/girl" who can trade stuff to their group for just about anything. The van blew a flat tire? Manic knows a girl who works in a chop-shop and is willing to barter for belt buckles. Sonic caught a nasty illness and needs medicine? Manic knows a guy who can hook them up with a prescription for that, y'know under the counter.
•Before Mindy and her father were forced to flee their manor she was Sonia's primary source of high-fashion magazines, clothes, makeup, and accessories. After "the incident" at house La'Tour Sonia teaches Mindy a lot about how to mend and alter her preexisting clothes.
•Manic struggles with issues of self-worth. (he feels like he's always fading into the background, especially around his 'more impressive' siblings)
•Sonic struggles with ideals of his purpose in life. (he was nobody really special before he was forced to go live with uncle Chuck, then a tool and weapon of the resistance, now a symbol of the Old Kingdom and Freedom and Hope. His true goal in life is undefined in his mind, but he wants to find it. Sometimes, when he make Manic truly smile or gets to hear Sonia's real not-so-lady-like laugh, he thinks he's achieved that purpose. At least for a while, but those moments will always come back to him.
•Sonia struggles with her image and how it affects her different relationships. (at first she was an heiress and student at a private academy living like and aristocrat's child should, but she always had a wild side which she was taught to keep under wraps. She loves rock and punk music, but trying to mix that interest with her classical studies leads to reprimanding, disgust, and concern from teachers and her fiancé, Bartleby.
Then in a single night her role in the hierarchy is ripped like a rug out from under her; she's told she has a sibling, and not just one, but two brothers she'd never heard of before a SWATbot raid. She's told her mother isn't who she thought she was, that her biological mother is Queen Aleena, and the woman she called 'mom' has been roboticized. She's told that she's destined to join a rebellion and fight against the very system she lived safely, comfortably within for over a decade and a half- her entire life up to this point.
Sonia has lived a rigid life of black and white, authority and rebels, classical and rock, outrageous and righteous, the Empire and the Rebellion. Trying to reconcile the two clashing halves of her life is never easy, but her family and friends make it easier for her where they can.)
•In the episode where the triplets visit the castle (the one with the mirror portals) Aleena had been there for an entire day before her children showed up and enjoyed spying on them from within the reflections of the castle. She needed confirmation they were still safe and well. If she 'accidentally' startled some bats which freaked out one of the kids or cast an ominous shadow over them, that was her own business and no one else. (Refer to the prior headcanon about Aleena loving pranks.)
•QUEEN ALEENA IS A KIND, LOVING, AND WONDERFUL MOTHER. Yes she sent her children away, if you listen to the opening theme you'll understand why. Yes she stayed in hiding for roughly sixteen years, she and her family were being hunted by an evil dictator. I refuse to believe Aleena would be anything but kind, understanding, and loving to all of her children.
•While she doesn't have her own medallion carved from the Power Stone in Mobodoon, Aleena does carry a flute once owned by her late husband which contains a retractable blade made of a type of stone. This weapon is not traceable by Robotnik's sensors.
•The Kingdom of Acorns exists across a stretch of ocean due north-north-east of the Kingdom of Mobodoon. These two kingdoms had strong ties and friendly relations before Robotnik's rise to power in the Acorn Kingdom and his later conquest of Mobodoon. This is why a statue of King Max existed in Mobodoon.
•Sleet and Dingo are queer platonic. No I will not elaborate.
•After meeting Aleena, Tails builds a device to track the Chaos Emeralds for her. Shortly after this she sends Tails on his own special mission. This leads him right into the path of the triplets who he doesn't know or recognize. Aleena had told him about her children and their fight against Robotnik, but never mentioned their names or what they look like. From the time they meet onward Tails becomes and honorary member of the band, but is sent away from the front-lines to live at Sanctuary instead. He instantly bonds with Cyrus the Lion.
•Tails brings back a lot of memories to Sonic, memories of Uncle Chuck. Times when he would listen to the elder hedgehog tapping into different radio frequencies and relay messages. Being taught which wire goes where and how to fix Chuck's old, beat up van (the same one the kids later drive around cross-country). Even memories of his firs mission as a part of the resistance... and how badly it turned out.
•All of the royal kids used to get an extra present for holidays and their birthdays. Aleena made certain to either hand-make something with all the love she could give or find something she thought they'd like. She had to use unconventional methods of delivering these gifts, though, she was still a fugitive and couldn't directly contact any of them after all.
•Aleena's late husband had been a wandering knight before becoming her personal guard. After they were wed he couldn't be her personal knight anymore, so he recommended a very talented and promising soldier named Argus. (yep, that guy the kids meet up with at one point who gets roboticized.)
•The kids' father didn't have super speed or strength or anything like that. He and Chuck were brothers from the same tiny village far off in the mountains, secluded from the rest of Mobodoon. He was just a guy who wanted to seek out an adventure, discover whatever his calling would be, and find his place in the world. He was a calm, encouraging, good-natured hedgehog with a strong sense of justice and the will to protect others. Before meeting Aleena he thought all aristocrats and nobles were arrogant, greedy people with no concern for the lower classes. After meeting her he changed his mind... marginally.
•Aleena was much less formal when she was younger, though she always tried to be a little bit reserved. Before they were married, or even dating, her late husband encouraged her to be less hard on herself and let loose once in a while. They would race around a village square, Aleena's fancy clothes getting scraped and dirty while her knight tripped and fumbled heels-over-head into the village's fountain.
•After the war is won and peace finally begins Sonic signs a document to abdicate the throne. (I've always been under the impression that Sonic was born first, then Sonia, then Manic. That's just the vibes they give me, though. Everyone is allowed to have their own headcanons.) This decision gives Sonia the title of Crown Princess.
•At some point after the war Mobodoon needs to send and envoy to the Kingdom of Acorns to check on their neighbors and alert them that Robotnik is dead. (I can't see the story coming to an end without killing him off.) Manic really, really doesn't want to go at first and the rest of his family acknowledges his feeling on the matter but the rest of them are swamped with work trying to rebuild and reconstruct what little was left of the aristocracy.
Manic is noticeably more eager to return to the Kingdom of Acorns, specifically a place known as Knothole Village the next time any discussion about foreign envoys is brought up. Sonia thinks it has to do with that photograph in her brother's room of some red-headed chipmunk in a blue vest.

tangle headcanons!
game versed, naturally.
grew up in a little village on the hill, her parents while they weren't in the hole poor - did have to really work to make ends meet - so from an early age tangle has always been someone who wanted to help out and pull her weight. when her little brother, loop, was born, that responsibility became even more prevalent. unfortunately, their mother didn't survive the process. even though the grief tangle's optimism and love for her family never wavered. something about it made her even more protective of her brother. she didn't ever want him to grow up thinking it was his fault.
was raised up on super hero comic books and old retro games. they couldn't afford the newer cooler stuff, so tangle's taste in culture might be a little outdated. probably why she and sonic clicked so easily.
speaking of which, it was actually the dark gaia event that accidentally granted her her elasticity powers. her village was close to one of the rupture zones in the planet's crust, it was direct exposer to dark gaia's energy that mysteriously left the lemur with a new ability, and a new pink shade of eyes (prior to this, they were yellow like a real lemur.)
with this new ability tangle was able to help protect her village and fend off the dark gaia monsters, ever since then going down as a bit of a town hero who would go out of her way to help people out when they needed her.
her powers never went away, even after the planet was fixed.
always wanted to go out and explore the world, but her responsibility back home and the village's dependency on her never really allowed for that to happen. it wasn't until the war in forces that suddenly things got a whole lot scarier, and her brother ended up being taken that tangle would join the resistance and help in the effort to take back the world from eggman's rule.
was really excited to hear that sonic was alive and they had rescued him, she's always wanted to meet the notorious speedster. it didn't exactly go as she always expected it to, however, with the condition he was in after being rescued. instead of fanboying over it and asking a bunch of questions, she simply would just sit next to him and offer a bowl of soup in the resistance HQ's cafeteria, striking up conversation about food. he seemed a little out of it after all, like he could use a little slice of normalcy for once.
at some point during the war, they were able to rescue her brother. he joined the resistance with her and together they assisted in stopping eggman and infinite in the final fight to take back the world.
also because i think we all collectively forgot classic sonic was even there - i like to think tangle actually ended up looking after tails when sonic was missing - couldn't help it, he reminds her so much of her own little brother. the two bonded over having cool tail powers! she's pals with him now- same with the rest of main resistance members.
#tangle: headcanons.#hmm... yes. yes this is good.#augh i love tangle - she's just serotonin coded but also has a lot of interesting stuff to work with

Ya know, ive always really liked the idea of characterizing classic and modern sonic differently. More specifically, making him a little bit more of an ass
Like, to me peak classic sonic is things like the OVA and the Sonic Mega Drive comics
I think classic is still doing things a lot more just for the hell of it, and while modern is too, he has a lot more life experience and has learned a lot more about the world around him.
Modern can be more socially aware, and appreciates his friends a lot. I think this was something he had to learn, as before meeting tails and amy he was just running on his own following his own rules and doing whatever he wanted
Specifically in Sonic Mega Drive, where he separates from the group cause he thought they were slowing him down/not leaving any of the fun for him, but then when hes alone he starts missing them. His friends are starting to grow more on him
#was rewatching the OVA and thinking abt this#ok so im not really using my brain rn im in a bus but i wanted to throw my thoughts onto here#sonic#sonic the hedgehog#sonic ramblings#fetti talks

Sonic characters - who I like, who I'm fine with, who I dislike
This is what I wrote yesterday. I want to underline that this is just my opinion and that I have nothing against you. I'm adult for a while right now. Sonic is just a passion that makes me happy, that I enjoy for fun, but is not my life. I say that because knowing what the Sonic fandom may be like, is easy to feel intimidated by different point of view.
Let's start!
Favourites/I love:
SONIC (of course)
I discovered Sonic games in 1991. I was friend with two fraternal twins since kindergarden and we were among the first kids who were able to play videogames (I owned a commodore 64 my uncle gifted me, the twins owned a Sega Master System and a Game Boy). There were not much informations about Sonic's personality, but talking with my friends, we all perceived him being very similar to Shadow. Just openly more gentle.
In 1995 there were Sonic cartoons (Sonic SatAM, AoStH, in collaboration with Italy). Sonic was not like Shadow, but he was 'meh'... I liked him but he wasn't really my favourite. Also the design left me confused (my brother was more into the western design, i was more into the Japanese design).
To be honest I think the western design is cute. I would fix the quills, more classic sonic style instead of the mohawk and the hands, making them with five fingers instead of four. And some little adjustments on the ankles but for the rest is fine.
I loved Sonic in Sonic Adventure 2 and I liked Ryan's voice. I easily tend to imagine his voice if i read some story about him. I like Ryan's, Jason's, Deven's and the italian VA Renato). What I like most about Sonic is his kindness.
TAILS
There was a period were Tails received a lot of hate, maybe just because he is a child. But in early '90s' Tails was loved by player. His ability to fly made the level easier to beat, so everybody played with him. Since he is a fox, I excepted him to be cunning. Of course not toward Sonic (he is his friend after all) but toward Eggman, outsmarting him. I also considered Sonic and Tails being brothers. All of this before knowing him.
When I noticed he had two tails instead of one, I though it was because of an experiment by Eggman. The two tails genetic mutation does exist in nature, although is rare.
KNUCKLES
I saw knucles in early '90s for the first time but he didn't catch my interest. He was Sonic's opponent. I never had occasions to play Sonic's games until we finally got Sonic Adventure 2. Then I noticed Knuckles was about the stereotype of the cool boy... except he was not so bright and he was quite naive.
SHADOW
I loved his balanced design. The first thing I though is that he could be a great character for graffitis. Early Shadow seemed based on emo kids, it was fashion in early '00s'.
He was also quite depressed, almost suicidal at times. After 2006 Shadow became famous as 'the edgelord', almost an unintentional caricature of himself. Before 2006 Shadow seemed slightly friendlier and laid back at times. That bit that was enough to made him seem more alive. As if he sometimes did things just to have fun like Sonic. And it happened his idea of fun match Sonic's. In later years he seems recovering from his edgelord days.
AMY
Amy didn't caugh my attention earlier but right now is one of the characters I like. Though i miss her fangirling about Sonic. Also because they decided to remove that part of her, it was considered a flaw. Yet Amy could see Sonic's flaws and was honest with him about what she though. All the rest of Amy is there. And she had and has a lot of good qualities.
EGGMAN
Eggman is funny, hilarious. But he is wicked, manipulative, sadistic, cruel and I mean actual cruel towards beasts. And toward kids.
All Eggman's doing.
Also Eggman's doing.
Most Sonic's friends (including Sonic) are teenagers. Eggman has shown to be capable to kill fellow humans too. Without problems.
I like, but they can be better:
ROUGE
Rouge is a female Lupin III. I compare her to Lupin and not to Fujiko because, although she is a thief and a spy, although she may be cunning, she is a loyal friend.
The thing I don't like about her is her original design:
I'm not against her design for political correct bullshit reasons. Simply this design seems somewhat unfinished, heavy and awkward and the pink is overhelming. Rouge herself doesn't look much athletic. Also she looks like a character coming from the middle of the '900 and not a modern character.
I like more the prime design, where her figure is more atletic, muscular and balanced like her job (spy, thief) would suggest.
CHAO
The chao design actually is perfect the way it is. I love all the variants seen in SA and SA2. And the chao's minigame (I raise them only with Sonic and Shadow. They're the only who don't hurt them accidentally). However in a story their role should be about the same role of the flickies. Cheese is a prominent character, but it feels forced.
(Ignore Mario)
CREAM and VANILLA
I think they should be supporting characters when needed. They're nice and all, but I can't see them taking on adventures. They worked well when they took care of Sonic but they're better characters for slice of life or lighter adventures.
BIG
This one is quieter and more a loner than Shadow, yet he is very happy, kind and gentle. He has the natural nice personality most real cats have, especially male cats. Like Cream and Vanilla, i think his role would be more the one of a supporter character. The one who listen and who make all characters feel better after a chat. He doesn't work as protagonist and i think his start was rough. Big is a Siberian cat. Those cats have a cobby bodytype and are long haired
An actual Siberian cat
METAL SONIC
Although a robot, he can work. But he is like radioactive material. He should be used carefully.
Meh... forgettable
BLACK DOOM
I think his ugliness alone was more than enough to made him a laughing stook. He is evil manipulative, sadistic, abusive and all, sharing his flaws with Dr.Eggman. But he lacks Eggman's positive traits. Is not even funny. So fans and even comic writers treat him like one of those mignon who are all words and no substance. It might be unconscious.
Woooh, how treatening... villain's empty words.
Just an example of how people see Black Doom... (Drawn by Ama)
STICKS
Sticks may seem cute, funny, but in the end she's not that memorable. She's nothing more than the caricature of a conspiracy theorists, thin foil hat and such. That can work in another media but not in Sonic.
SILVER
I fail to understand this guy. Is he a blend between Sonic and Shadow? His design keeps leaving me unimpressed and it doesn't suggest me a personality in particular. Redundant.
CHAOTIX
Hate at first sight. Redundant.
MOST I WON'T MENTION, TOO MANY TO REMEMBER.
They're redundant, not much interesting. They seem a blander blend of main characters. Is like wanting to fix the main characters or wanting to create an upgraded version of the main character, instead is only taking away the fun.

I finished watching the Ben 10 reboot recently and I have some thoughts. Like most Ben 10 fans I am of the opinion that it was the weakest series overall, but I think it’s important to list the things I think it did well.
The season finales and specials were the best. They really felt like Ben 10 you know? My favorite series of episodes was the introduction of Vilgax and I rocked with the whole sealed inside the Omnitrix bit. Felt reminiscent of ghost freak in the classic series.
The reboot gets a lot of flak for its redesigns, but i really like what they did with Humongasaur. Rather that being a simple heavy hitter like Four arms, they gave him something more unique with that sonic tail slam ability.
The Omni-enhanced and armored aliens were very cool concepts that were used well.
One complaint I do have is the missed opportunities to explore more interesting things. Kevin’s origins and how the schematics for the Omnitrix ended up in his head are what come to mind. I kept waiting for the payoff and ended up a little disappointed. Overall the reboot wasn’t amazing, but I don’t hate it with every fiber of my being like other fans.

What's your opinion on the Sonic Prime Eggmans? /gen
Do I get to talk about regular Eggman too? At first I thought this was asking about him and I really wanna gush about him again but now I realize you probably mean the council more lol
I really loved the Prime version of regular Eggman! It was literally only five minutes worth but a very beautiful five minutes at that. Deem Bristow and Mike Pollock play huge parts of why I love Eggman and find him so entertaining so I didn't know how I was gonna feel about the change but Brian Drummond doesn't do a bad job, he could easily become my next favorite voice after them if he worked on it a little more.
I enjoyed how simplistically enjoyable Eggman was. Funny and silly and getting up to evil to find and steal the paradox prism and use it in his schemes. His ambition and motivation to take over the world there strong as ever and talking about wanting a world that's more him in neon was cute, I like and am fascinated by bright colors and pretty lights and want everything to be about you too Ivo dhfisbgjsbgkdh
I love the classic bickering and scolding Orbot and Cubot. I love how he tricked Sonic and went the route of taunting him then targeting his best friend Tails to piss him off enough to bait and make him snap for his plan to work, being a real bastard and calling him "stupid as Tails is ugly" lol. I loved how happy he was for it to work and how he laughed maniacally and looked like such an adorable evil bastard doing it!
Everything I love about Eggman was intact there and I was looking forward to seeing more. I expected it was gonna have the vibe of my favorite parts of X as that's what that five minutes felt like and that's exactly what I've been wanting for years, for modern Eggman to come back in a show and be just like that. I really miss Prime Egg and I wish he would come back but they threw him out in the first ep :(
He was so beautiful and charming and entertaining 🥰
I miss hiiim but I'm gonna bet that he won't return in any form beyond the prismatic titan until the very end of the show or something
As for the Chaos Council, I unfortunately have much less to say as I'm personally not a fan of them. The concept certainly had the potential but the execution is lacking. They just don't have a lot going for them, they're kind of just generic character archetypes such as Baby, Teenager, Hipster, Old Man, Not Eggman, etc. They don't have regular Eggman's personality and charm and are just like strangers in his skin.
I really wish I could like them more but both their designs and personalities don't grab me. For that I only watched the first eight episodes and never watched the second batch besides the prismatic titan Eggman parts. I'd at least have been happier if they had kept regular Eggman with them, as depicted in the concept art as he was going to be a part of the council but they decided to rid of him completely.
The most cool and interesting part of Prime to me outside of regular Eggman to me is New Yoke City. I always love seeing a world taken over by Eggman and I'm a huge sucker for the dark controlled industrialized polluted dystopian hellscape where there's propaganda everywhere on the walls, orders and rules constantly being enforced through the robot patrol saying stuff like and over PAs blasting through speakers
It's an "Eggman" ruled and controlled place, a dark shitty oppressive place and people are just mindless zombies and slaves to the harsh system because they feel hopeless to break out with no freedom, controlled, restricted, and watched. The way it's spelled New YOKE city so it sounds like "yolk" like egg but is potentially a reference to a "yoke", a type of leash to control cattle, fits how they're oppressed and controlled was right up my alley.
Seeing the real Eggman in a place like that leading the Chaos Council would've been so cool. Then it could've looked like the concept as the version that I liked a lot more than the look of the final for all the regular Eggman designed inspired assets, it even has the beautiful neon and cool lights like he wants! And I just love how much it looks like Eggmanland hehe. I really wish they'd tapped into that potential.

For the ask game: Spyro thr Dragon
Spyro the Dragon from Spyro the Dragon Franchise
who? | only know their name | loathe | ugh | overrated | indifferent | dead | alive | just okay | cute | badass | my baby | hot | want to marry | favorite
OH MY BOOOYY!!!! <33333 don't even get me STARTED are you KIDDING ME!! I grew up playing Year of the Dragon, Hero's Tail, and Dawn of the Dragon, so i kinda got a taste of every major spyro version until Skylanders, with classic having the most impact on my impression of him. I cannot emphasize enough: when i heard the word Hero, i thought of Spyro. i still do half the time, even if sonic the hedgehog has largely taken that role in my mind since then.
What's fascinating to me is how i honestly missed his character development nearly every time. playing through the Reignighted trilogy as an adult, I now have an appreciation for how spyro GOT to where he is in game 3; dragon culture is actually pretty Status Quo Is God, with a lot of really questionable habits. it's interesting how he evolves from a hero of reestablishing the status quo, to an active healer. I have lots of thoughts on this, really, but I don't bog down the ask game with it. but yes, amazing dragon, very good boy!!

things that won't happen in sonic movie 3 that I will cry about if they arent:
stone saying 'I miss my husband tails. I miss him a lot.'
sonic and shadow share a little smooch
me being literally every unimportant background character (London is in the North West now, actually)
reference to a classic sonic game that ISNT sonic 1 or a year joke (like tails' password being 1992 in sonic prime)
NiGHTS reference
belle and sticks having any role at all*
announcement for a brand new sonic movie 4 written by meeeee :3
*I'd include surge and kit but even if its a bad guilty pleasure movie (which I doubt it will be) even then it'd be a bit much

The whole gang :D (Sonic, tails, knuckles, Amy, sticks, shadow)
ask game: send me AT LEAST 3 emojis (the more random the better) and AT LEAST 2 characters from sonic boom and i’ll come up with a little drabble mini story in response!
On this particular Friday night, Team Sonic and Shadow for some reason are all sitting around Amy's house playing a kart racing game on her television. Given that the game only allows for a maximum of four players at once, Sonic, Tails, Sticks, and Shadow are currently in possession of the controllers, while Amy sits off to the side watching the race unfold in earnest. Knuckles, meanwhile, has opted to leave his place on the couch to play Für Princess Elise on Amy's piano to pass the time. And to provide some horribly unfitting background music that clashes heavily with the game's OST.
"I still don't understand why you lot are forcing me to play this pathetic game alongside you," Shadow says as he passes Sonic, much to the latter's frustration.
Sonic groans at both the loss of his spot in first place and Shadow's obstinacy. "Shadow, for the last time, us asking if you wanted to join us for Game Night, and you saying you had a million better things to do before showing up anyway isn't called forcing you. Now quit making stuff up."
"Yeah, not cool, Shadow!" Knuckles calls out from his place at the piano as he continues playing. "I bet you're the type who makes fake callouts for people on social media!"
"Not surprising. I'm telling you guys he's secretly some alien-hedgehog hybrid thing bent on ruining the rest of us in every way imaginable, starting with our online reputations," Sticks remarks as she picks up an item box. She grins maniacally when she realizes which power-up she now has at her disposal. "And someone like that doesn't deserve to be in first place! Take this, ya filthy stinker!"
Shadow snarls when the spiny blue shell comes down on his motorbike, stunning his character long enough for the other three to overtake him and then some. He barely even notices Knuckles abruptly playing an off-key scare chord before resuming his classical music without missing a beat. "I will personally make sure your end is slow and agonizing, waste of space masquerading as a badger."
"Wow. Barely three hundred words in and Shadow's already threatening to kill off one of my teammates," Sonic deadpans, picking up an item box. "Why are our fans so hung up on him becoming our sixth member again?"
"Sonic, don't pretend like you haven't thought about it yourself," Amy reprimands. "You said once, and I quote, 'He'd make a great addition to Team Sonic.'"
"Amy, why would you say that out loud when he's right here?!" Sonic complains. The sound of Shadow's derisive snort is all it takes for him to toss his red shell behind him, hoping that it makes its way past Tails and Sticks and hits this jerk in his (character's) dumb face. "I said he'd be good if he wasn't such a hard case!"
"I'm not a hard case, Blue Boy. I simply find no merit in joining a team named after you. Makes me sick just thinking about it."
"The fact that you can't even admit that you're here right now out of your own free will is literally the definition of being a hard case, dude."
"Whatever. Once I defeat you at this wretched excuse of a racing game—" Sonic's red shell finally comes around the corner, and Shadow expertly dodges it. "—I will ensure the same fate befalls you in real life."
"Yeah, maybe say that when you're not in sixth place and I'm not in first."
Shadow's expression darkens again at the reminder of his current placement and the reason behind it. "That is not my fault. It's your idiot badger friend's for unleashing her equally idiot shell on me."
Sticks huffs. "Rude. What was I supposed to do with it then, not use it?"
"Ignore him, Sticks. He's only salty because he just found out that he's bad at gaming."
"Ooh, here we go," Knuckles mutters under his breath as he switches from Beetleoven to some generic tense-sounding music. You know, the kind that plays when a fight is about to break out.
Small cracks begin forming at the edges of the buttons of Shadow's controller as he begins to press them a little too hard. "Huh? Care to run that by me aga—"
"Okay, we're not doing this. You guys stop it right now," Amy commands, a certain edge creeping into her voice. Sonic and Shadow will not be ruining Game Night… or her house. "That includes you, Knuckles."
Knuckles immediately goes back to what he was playing before. "Sorry."
To Sonic and Shadow's (especially Shadow's) credit, they both fall silent. No one says anything as the race moves on to the final lap. Shadow passes the two NPCs in front of him. Sonic maintains his lead. Shadow picks up an item box as he passes Sticks. So does Sticks as she falls into fourth. Sonic continues to maintain his lead. And then—
"Sonic, I'm making you pay for your disrespect by crushing the annoying fox into the dirt."
Right as Shadow is about to pass Tails, he activates his Mega Mushroom power-up, making his character grow three sizes bigger. He stays true to his word and runs over Tails's kart, settling into his newly obtained spot in second place.
Knuckles plays another scare chord to punctuate Shadow's hit-and-run.
"Oh, come on, I've been minding my own business all race!" Tails shouts, dismayed at his reduced speed. "Why am I getting punished for what Sonic said?!"
"Seriously, Shadow, can you stop taking your anger out on my friends every time you have beef with me? It's not fair, clever, or even funny—"
"Heads up, Sonic!"
Sonic's jaw drops when Sticks ambushes him with another blue shell right when he's about to cross the finish line.
Scare chord.
"Sticks, how in the heck are you getting all these blue shells?!" he demands to know, feeling utterly betrayed as Shadow zooms right by him and even more so when he cinches his victory on that stupid bike of his.
"I dunno!" Sticks says cheerfully over Shadow's laughter. She passes the still flattened Tails and immobile Sonic within seconds of each other, effectively nabbing the runner-up spot. "I just didn't want Shadow to stay mad at me."
"Great, you guys are just about done! Perfect timing, too," Knuckles says as he finishes his song, standing up and walking over. "Finish the race and gimme the controller, Tails."
Tails and Sonic exchange a look as they finally recover and pass the finish line, getting third and fourth respectively. Sonic slumps in his seat and holds his controller out for Amy to take. Tails sighs and hands his over to Knuckles.
"Oh, don't be so upset, Sonic," Shadow says smugly. "No one can help it if you're bad at gaming."
Shadow is so not invited back next time.

Are the ArchieSonic comics actually an 80's/90's syndicated cartoon? Episode 34: Idiot comic relief character becomes a genius
Welcome back to my look at the ArchieSonic comic series, and how it shared a lot of the same story tropes as a typical ‘80s or ‘90s syndicated cartoon! I’ve got another classic cartoon trope here for you today, so shall we take a look?
Episode 34: Idiot comic relief character becomes a genius
I remember them actually doing this one in Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog with Grounder.
That was fun. :) But in ArchieSonic? It was Tails who got this one, although admittedly he was never portrayed as an idiot comic relief character. He was mostly just portrayed as a little kid, well-meaning but often clumsy or not entirely understanding what was going on around him.
Sonic #14’s story, “Tails’ Taste of Power,” featured Tails desperately wanting to find a way to assist his hero Sonic, and so he reluctantly agreed to take over the plant-sitting job Sonic had agreed to do in Rotor’s greenhouse. While watering Rotor’s plants Tails got hungry, and so he helped himself to an apple from a nearby tree. That tree just so happened to be the Mobius Tree of Wisdom, and that apple had been the only one that Rotor had managed to grow from it.
Sonic and Rotor returned to the greenhouse to find that Tails had instantly become a genius, and created a new fertiliser that had caused Rotor’s plants to grow at an incredible rate. Before the three of them could really absorb the news of Tails’ new big brain, Antoine ran in screaming that Sally and Bunnie were under attack by a giant robot. Sonic ran to save the day, but Tails got there first and tricked the robot into destroying itself with its own saw blades.
Tails’ new and improved brain seemed to come with a massive ego boost though, and he announced that he was now the natural choice to be the new leader of the Freedom Fighters. Tails tried to prove his worth by inventing a new metal that would be unreadable by Robotnik’s sensors, and using it to build a housekeeping robot and a medallion for himself.
But when the Freedom Fighters tried to convince him that he was too inexperienced to lead the team, Tails decided that the only way for him to prove he was the best man for the job was to race off to Robotropolis and confront Robotnik single-handedly.
Unfortunately his super-intelligence wore off just as had successfully evaded every single security measure and entered Robotnik’s lab, and Tails was immediately captured. But Sonic showed up to save the day, tricking Robotnik into thinking Tails’ unreadable metal medallion was a bomb and threatening to use it if Robotnik didn’t let Tails go.
While Tails’ intelligence seemed to go back to normal afterwards, many years later it was retroactively explained in the Mobius Encyclopedia that the fruit had actually had a lasting effect on Tails and was the reason for his genius-level intellect that rivals Eggman’s. I think that’s a neat little bit of continuity, finding a reason to connect the intelligence that we know modern Tails for with this old comic story.
That’s it from me for today. Are there any other sudden genius stories I missed? Remind me in the comments! Next time I’ll be discussing the final frontier, or as King Acorn would call it:

The game throws these at you like there is no tomorrow, right when you start the game. I zones out after the first two and I feel like I missed out on some important stuff ^^'
H-How the hell do you train while loading or game-over? O.o
I think you can tell that this will be a more story-heavy game then most Sonic-Games were, just by the fact that it starts with an Eggman-Cutscene.
I don't know why games these days love to pretend they are glitching? I've seen that A LOT in games lately. I know mostly it shows you that you are in Cyberspace or something like that... but especially right at the beginning of a game it seems rather weird. Like... is this supposed to happen? ^^'
I think I accidentally crashed my game...
Sonic is such a showoff. Despite everything it still feels like his chances to die in a plane-crash are much higher than Tails - and if you remember how often the Tornado has crashed already with Tails in it, that has to mean something XD
(BTW... I love Sonic games. Its a big part of my childhood. We had a Sega Mega Drive for whatever reason and I always watched my Cousins play Sonic games. And when I was older I owned Sonic 3 and Knukkles on PC and my former best Friend and I played it in Co-Up-Mod. HOWEVER I always played Tails because I was so bad at those games that playing Sonic myself would have gotten us constantly Game Over. These days... sadly, no one plays these games with me anymore ((I am such a loner and the few people that I have in my life don't like to play - or at least not games like these...)) so I have to play them myself. But... you will see, I suck at them XD)
Does this count as crashing the Tornado? Because I feel like singing "Oooops! Sega did it again! It crashed to Tornado..." or something XD Its like a classic running-gag at this point ^^'
I play this on easy, this is the fucking first stage and I've got a C. Can you believe that? That is embarrassing!
It won't get any better than this I fear ^^' In fact, you better get used to seeing the letter "C" A LOT XD
I feel like this is the first time you actually see Sonic being in pain after a fall.
Are Hedgoges called rodents in other countries? We would rather say that to a mouse or rat here.
So... I may or may not accidentally put party-clothes on Sonic and an happy birthday song in the background by accident. I would like to change that but I don't know how to get out of here and back into the menu...
I am not sure if I was supposed to run into that thing just yet. I do not feel ready at all.
And I fucked it up already XD But the game neglected to tell me how to parry BEFORE the fight ^^'
I believe they do not let you save while in the tutorial. Hense... why Sonic still looks like this ^^'
Soooo... can I finally save now? ^^'
My first impression of the game at the current "Just after the tutorial" - Moment is that the handling of Sonic is not very easy. And he is... slow when you don't boost ^^' I am used to him rolling around at the speed of sound, if you get me XD Fighting might need some... uh... WeMod help too, if I take a closer look at my next Guardian-Enemy *lol*
But lets continue for now...
He appears to be quite calm despite his circumstances ^^'
I really suck at fighting. Especially those guardians. I am not even sure if any cheating will help here, to make up for my skill-issues...
I remember that scene from the Trailers. We Sonamy-Shippers were screaming XD
Sonics reaction was short but shippable nothing the less ♥
Ah yes, stuff like this gives me life, I tell you.
We gave her our heart XD
Ups! I guess Sonic got a bit hurt in the process...
